ALGUNAS CONSIDERACIONES TEÓRICAS SOBRE
LA REHABILITACIÓN NEUROPSICOLÓGICA

The importance of the rehabilitation is increasingly notorious; however they exist many doubts on what is and how can be one create and implement programs. In Colombia there is a very particular situation, in spite of the fact that daily is increased the number of neurological patients and particularly of patients with traumatic brain injury, caused by car accidents and by the violence, they are counted the institutions that work in neuropsychological rehabilitation and in the integral rehabilitation of the patient. There are institutions that accomplish neurological, neuropsychological and medical assessmentes in a individualized way, but no that work with a most global interest related to the quality of life of the patient injured.

This work is framed within the investigation line "Neuropsychological Evaluation and Rehabilitation " of the Bosque University and has as objective in the long run, the creation of an evaluation and rehabilitation center making use of different technologies and overcoat, integrating the knowledge originating from the cognitive psychology in relationship to the operation models of the cognitive processes and of equal form, considering psycophysiological aspects as measurement strategies. In this communication are presented briefly some of the theoretical aspects in relationship to the neuropsychological rehabilitation.
 

La importancia de la rehabilitación es cada vez más notoria; sin embargo, aún existen muchas dudas sobre lo que es y cómo se pueden generar e implementar programas. En Colombia se vive una situación muy particular, a pesar de que a diario se incrementa el número de pacientes neurológicos y particularmente de pacientes con trauma craneo- encefálico, causado por accidentes autovilísticos y por la violencia, son contadas las instituciones que trabajan en rehabilitación neruopsicológica e inclusive en la rehabilitación integral del paciente. Existen instituciones que realizan evaluaciones neurológicas, neuropsicológicas y médicas de manera individualizada, pero ninguna que trabaje con un interés más global relacionado con la calidad de vida del paciente lesionado.

Este trabajo se enmarca dentro de la línea de investigación "Evaluación y Rehabilitación Neuropsicológica" de la Universidad el Bosque y tiene como objetivo a largo plazo, la creación de un centro de evaluación y rehabilitación haciendo uso de diferentes tecnologías y sobretodo, integrando los conocimientos provenientes de la psicología cognoscitiva en relación con los modelos de funcionamiento de los procesos cognoscitivos y de igual forma, considerando los aspectos psicofisiológicos como estrategias de medición temporo-espaciales válidas. En esta comunicación se presentan brevemente algunos de los aspectos teóricos en los que se ha ahondado hasta el momento en relación con la rehabilitación neuropsicológica.
